Join us for the 2016-2017 school year starting in August where we run a full-scale AWANA program. AWANA (an acronym for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) is an enriching, integrated program for children from 4 months old through high school that reaches and trains kids in age-level appropriate classes in the truths of God’s Word and how to integrate that truth into everyday life.
AWANA meets weekly during the Sunday school and 2nd Service times at 9:15 am – 11:45 am. Each meeting provides three components:
- Game Time – Team competition takes place in our unique circle games, providing maximum opportunity for children to get involved no matter their athletic ability.
- Handbook Time – Kids work one on one with a trained leader to finish assignments in their curriculum materials. AWANA emphasizes memorizing and understanding key Bible verses that teach children how to know and follow God. A series of awards reward their achievements at every level.
- Large Group Time – Kids and leaders gather together for singing and practical Bible messages.
AWANA offers clubs for every age group.
Puggles is an enriching program for your pre-Cubbies kids that presents basic biblical concepts: We are a unique creation of God and God loves us very much. Simple lessons are taught through teaching cards, activities, music and more.
AWANA is fun with a purpose—to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.
Sparks is the AWANA club for children in kindergarten through second grade. Sparks builds on the material taught in our preschool clubs – a step deeper into God’s Word while giving boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ.
The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of AWANA to teach third- through fifth-grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today’s young people will become tomorrow’s church leaders. T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow – today.
Our Jr. High and High School groups meet during the Sunday school hour (9:15-10:15) for biblical teaching and fellowship. Then they join the adults for 2nd service at 10:30.

Trek is designed for 6th – 8th graders. This AWANA youth program is a transition between the younger AWANA clubs and the older Journey (high school) program. While Trek retains some elements of the clubs, its materials, terminology, and methodology are specifically geared to middle school students. Trek features two distinct Bible studies per year. Bible memorization and other Bible-based achievements encourage “Trek-ers” to grow spiritually.
Our high-school material/curriculum features an energetic look, enhanced content, life application, and an emphasis on Scripture memory.
