When you come to a Sunday service at Leeward Community Church, you will find a multi-ethnic community that spans the generations. Ministries are provided from infant care in our nursery, through every age and stage of life, including our senior citizens. Our services are relatively informal and casual. We enjoy a broad worship style that includes everything from hymns to contemporary worship songs led by live band. The dynamic message is both biblical and relevant to 21st Century life, encouraging you to grow in your spiritual journey. Our services usually are less than 90 minutes, and if you are in need of prayer, an opportunity is given at the end of every service.
Our services are fairly casual. We want you to be comfortable, so clothes ranging from casual wear to polo shirts, jeans, khakis, and other clothes in a similar fashion should help you to feel as if you fit right in. If your are bringing children, dress them in jeans or modest shorts, with sports shoes and socks, so that they are able to participate in the active games of our AWANA program.
Visitors’ parking is available for you. Simply turn left when you enter the church compound and several visitors’ stalls are clearly marked directly in front of the main building.
We have a Welcome Center, staffed with warm, helpful people who will help to direct you. Located alongside the Worship Center in our main building, you can follow the floating leaves on the glass walls to find it. Our Welcome Center team of hosts will welcome you with a special gift for our first-time visitors, help you find the appropriate classes for your children, and provide additional information about Leeward Community Church.
Leeward Community Church is a church for the generations. We have programs for every age and stage. We provide infant care for babies from 4-months old, with classes for toddlers, preschoolers, elementary, middle school, and high school ages. On Sunday mornings, we run a full-scale AWANA program. AWANA is an enriching, integrated program for children from 4 months old through high school that reaches and trains kids in age-level appropriate classes in the truths of God’s Word and how to integrate that truth into everyday life. For more information, please visit our AWANA Children’s Ministry page.
If you give your contact information at the Welcome Center or through the Response Forms, we will get in touch with you to inform you on how to get connected. We would love to invite you to be our guest at our Newcomers’ Luncheon, held several times throughout the year. This luncheon is a great opportunity for you to meet the pastor, staff, and ministry leaders, and to find out more about Leeward Community Church. Please fill out a connection card at the Welcome Center, so we can contact you with the details of the next upcoming Newcomers’ Luncheon. Looking forward to meeting you and hope to see you soon.
